About...
ARCHIE HAMILTON
Archie Hamilton has firmly established himself as one of the scene’s most sought-after young artists.
His labels Moscow Records, Moss Co. and Arkityp garner support from the highest echelons of house and techno, as have his own releases and remixes on much respected labels like 2020 Vision, Be Chosen, Pleasure Zone, FUSE and his own imprints.
In recent years, he has managed an increasingly busy touring schedule, playing the best clubs across Europe, the Americas, Asia and Australia. Among the most notable of these are his regular appearances at global event brand FUSE, London’s fabric and Ibiza’s Space and Amnesia, as well as leading international festivals like Sonus, We Are FSTVL and Modernity.
2015 was a breakthrough year for Archie, with his hit tracks Mind Blank and Troublemaker propelling him into the limelight. The summer saw the launch of a new project with fellow FUSE London resident Rossko, ‘Arkityp’ hosting 5 events across the summer season at Ibiza’s Underground Club.
2016 saw Archie take a big step on the Island with a residency at Amnesia with FUSE x Hyte, developing Arkityp into a record label with a hit debut release and finishing the year by entering Resident Advisor’s Top 100 DJs poll.
CHKLTE
As much a confectioner on the decks as he is in the studio, CHKLTE plays with a detailed delicateness that defies his towering stature. With vibrant, seductive blooms and deep, syrupy booms, his subtleties climb into the ear like tendrils. Influenced by his family’s involvement in music in Mexico City, a zealous 15-year-old Jonathan Lopez started sneaking into South Texas to DJ clubs after only a year of studying YouTube tutorials. Six years later, he arrived in Austin and joined forces with local movers and shakers Movement Collective, which opened doors for the rising star to play alongside both veterans and newcomers of the music community. After two years with the collective, Jonathan branched a solo project to showcase local and international artists, up-and-coming as well as established, curating minimal, deep, and funky sounds for his listeners. CHKLTE has helped curate the Blacktone parties in Austin, Tx; a brand which focuses on the more minimal soundscapes of dance music. He also took the role of A&R for Unscene Records & Black/Tuesday Vinyl Series.
The move from Jonathan Lopez to “CHKLTE” spurned a series of monthly releases throughout 2016 and 2017 on labels Tympanic, Unscene Records, Beatamin Recordings, Aquasound, and Denied Music. He has an upcoming release with a remix from Vatos Locos very own Chad Andrew, set for spring/summer of 2018 on San Diego’s label VUEW ran by prominent legend, Halo Varga. With also forthcoming releases on Mind&Vision & Melotherapy Digital. He became a resident of Austin Tx in 2012 and became a regular guest at much respected local venues Plush, Kingdom, and Ethics. CHKLTE still revisits the trail he set in San Antonio, the Rio Grande Valley, and Mexico, and he also began to venture to Vancouver, Denver, New Orleans and New York — Fast playing alongside world–renowned artists such as Just_Me, Nils Weimann, Christian AB, Maksim, Rhys Samson, Lamache, Robin Ordell, Oskar Offermann, Mihigh, Archie Hamilton, Priku, Andrey Pushkarev, Faster, Sepp, Vincentiulian, Varhat, Giammarco Orsini, John Dimas, Oshana, Chad Andrew & Hector just to name a few.
