Jak North American techno artist Jack Coleman, aka JAK, is a tireless advocate for quality underground dance music, representing the Pacific Northwest region as a producer, live performer, DJ, label boss and promoter.

JAK’s significant output as a producer includes releases on Trapez, Advanced (Black), Translucent, Subspec, Torque, Illegal Alien and more. His tracks have been supported by some of techno’s biggest names, such as Carl Cox, Dr. Motte and Ken Ishii. His music has been remixed by the likes of Mark Broom, Bryan Zentz, Audio Injection, Noncompliant and Angel Alanis.

During his 20+ years as a DJ, and more recently as a live act, he’s performed globally, from U.S. hot spots like Detroit and Los Angeles to international locations including Tokyo and Santiago de Chile. JAK’s long-running SubSensory event series was recently named by Mixmag as one of Portland’s best parties. Jack resides in Portland, Oregon, U.S.A.

In 2003, Shameless first took shape as a weekly indie dance night in the basement of the Alibi Room located in Seattle’s historic Pike Place Market.
