Reverend Dollars

Reverend Dollars is a Seattle-based DJ, musician and producer who is co-organizer of the Your House Is On Fire. and PØWER event series, founder of the Darqness Seattle Arts Collective and hosts a weekly radio show early Thursday mornings on KEXP. Much of her work has focused on bringing together marginalized Black, Trans and Queer communities through the mediums of music and dance, with energetic DJ sets known for house, club and hip-hop beats played at a frenetic pace. Hyeonje is known for their dynamic, playful, and genre-defying DJ sets, blending classic house, techno, electro, and club sounds with left-field breakbeats, pop, and world music. Having been raised on the local underground scenes of Los Angeles, the Bay Area, Vancouver, Portland, and of course, Seattle, Hyeonje's DJing is rooted in a queer, West Coast sensibility. They have DJ'd at iconic venues in the Pacific Northwest such as Kremwerk, Pony, Monkey Loft, and Holocene, as well as at very special DIY raves and house parties in and outside of the Puget Sound area.

Their ongoing projects include the online mix series Diasporic Corean Mixtapes, which features Korean DJs from the global diaspora, as well as the monthly UKG party GET U OFF, at Timbre Room, where they are a resident DJ.
