Desvelade

Desvelade’s multi genre sound originates in the music and rave scenes of Los Angeles, Tijuana, and Las Vegas where they spent their youth and early adulthood. They may be a product of the Southwest, but their style molded during the moodiness of Seattle’s winters. 

Desvelade love of digging for new sounds and sounds spanning decades, with a taste for house music, electro, dark wave, and techno. Their technical practice is a problem solving endeavor, blending through inconsistencies with syncopation; exploring the moments where hard tempo can round out through soft edges; and using their unique ear to create thrilling harmony in unexpected breaks. The persistent need for progress in their craft is derived from their consequential love of music and the private and shared moments that underground culture has afforded them to deeply connect with their body, queerness, and expression of their transness. A self-described “1.5ish generation Mexican-as-fuck-American,” Desvelade’s sets traverse borders and convention, taking dancers into soundscapes of diaspora, longing, expansion, and tenderness.

Arel

Arel Watson is a Seattle-based DJ, Kremwerk Resident, and founder of Housepartysea -- a genre-blending DJ night, online mix series, and Black-owned community hub that began in 2017 and focuses on creating spaces centered on Black electronic music. Providing a platform for cutting-edge DJs and pushing a progressive club sound that adventurously mixes house, techno, Jersey club, footwork, disco -- and continues to play an integral role in keeping the spirit of Seattle's club community alive.
