Laura Puentes, known by her stage name Rosa Pistola, hails from Colombia but has called Mexico home for the past 18 years.

As a cultural architect, she uses her distinctive auditory technique to transform spaces, pushing the boundaries of Latin music. Her passion is to leave a unique imprint on the underground electronic Latin music scene.

Throughout her career, she has participated in underground projects focused on noise and experimental music, such as Mangina, Raters, and Boy Band, which were released through her own label. In 2015, she transitioned to being a reggaetón DJ.

Rosa Pistola specializes in reggaetón, cumbiatón, dembow, guaracha, merengue house, and 3ball, creating dancefloor atmospheres that are both highly erotic and subversive.

Notable achievements include her appearance at the first reggaetón Boiler Room alongside DJ Playero, and being one of the first reggaetón DJs to perform at EDC México. She has shared the stage with legends like Ivy Queen and The Noise for RBMA, and has performed at renowned venues such as MoMA PS1 in New York, Primavera Sound with Boiler Room in 2022, Sonic Acts, Unsound, and Glastonbury, among others.

Rosa has also collaborated with NTS Radio, producing three projects: UNDER MX, Radio Super Underground, and a cumbiatón compilation with a mini-documentary. In 2021, she launched a new chapter by establishing her own urban sound label and founding a recording studio called La Chekera REC. She also partnered with Resident Advisor to create a documentary, Estado de Reggaetón, which explores the rich history of Mexican reggaetón.
