Assassin Star

Originally from the west side of Chicago, Assassin Star is inspired by the house music of her hometown, but she is interested in bass-fueled music that connects us across geographical borders. Her moniker comes from UK artist Shanks’ “Assassin Star” song, among many UK artists and tunes that inspire her eclectic style. Assassin Star got her start at house parties in Central Illinois, where she was inspired by J.Phlip, the late DJ Impact. Shortly after starting to DJ, she moved back to her hometown Chicago where she played open mics at Lava Lounge to hone her skills. She went on to hold residencies with DJ REDLOX and General Pacman and as a solo act at Guess Hookah Lounge. She has played the Darkroom in Chicago, Cowboy Monkey in Champaign, IL and more!

Longtime radio host turned club deejay – JENNGREEN has dedicated half of her life amplifying and sharing connection through music. Her growing, expansive collection and blissful curation has made her a tasteful selector. With no bounds to a sound in particular, she demonstrates range and a deep understanding of her Midwest roots.
