B-COMPLEX (BRATISLAVA)

FRIDAY - JUNE 28TH - CHERRY
Matia, also known as B-complex, is a Slovak DJ legend renowned for her drum & bass anthem "Beautiful Lies," released on Hospital Records. Her music, which has influenced generations of ravers worldwide, reflects her commitment to unique and unapologetic expression, blending influences from the 90s rave scene, metal, punk, jazz, and traditional Slovak folk music. As a pioneer of the LGBT+ community in Slovakia, a country still lacking basic human rights such as civil unions and subjected to political weaponization of queerness, she uses her platform to advocate for underrepresented individuals despite often being targeted by hate groups. Matia stands as a beacon against bigotry, promoting the complexities of music and life.
