Noise Complaint ft. Tiga
Noise Complaint and the Kremwerk/Timbre Room Complex are proud to present, two rooms of thoughtfully curated music featuring:
🐯 TIGA 🐯
www.tiga.ca
www.facebook.com/officialtiga
www.soundcloud.com/tiga
www.instagram.com/tiga
www.twitter.com/tiga
How does one begin to write about Tiga? Where to even start on a long road marked with notable checkpoints? What can be told that can’t be tallied in raw statistics (which he’s a total stickler for), or an unfurled parchment scroll of places gone and plaudits won? The duality of a life split between aspirational popstar and touring deejay falls short: by this point in time he’s lived dozens of lives, let alone a mere two. Frankly the only claim that doesn’t wash is that of being in a legacy mode – because that, to him, denotes the cardinal sin of coasting. And that just won’t do.
The core engine pushing Tiga forward is ambition. It’s there, everywhere: at the dials in any given club in any given city in any given country on any given weekend; burning the midnight oil in the Research & Development wing of his career control centre, crisp shirt sleeves rolled, assessing and strategising over his next move; with his feet up on the gleaming glass desk in the penthouse office of Turbo Towers, gold plaques of decade-dominating dancefloor delights flanking him – it’s there. Self-aware, well-moderated, yet totally unrepentant ambition.
Plus a bit of wit, too. To be insulated from any real backlash over a quarter-century in the game and across many different hats worn, a touch of humility and humour certainly helps it all go down easy. His goal is to dunk on people with success, but do so in a friendly way, soaring overhead with the sly wink of chutzpah (but never the nudge-nudge of solipsistic irony for irony’s sakes).
To maintain pole position while swerving between all these lanes with impunity, he taps into a well-spring of regenerating desire. From the getgo Tiga has sought to not merely play a part in the culture he abandoned all life commitments for age 17, but frequently scale its heights too:
Attending Berlin’s Love Parade circa ’92-95, then hearing DJ Hell drop “Sunglasses At Night” to the masses not too many years later. Giving a speech at his Montreal alma mater, then converting some of the impressionable graduates in the audience to come work at Turbo. Starting an independent label on a whim, then reaching 200 releases in a stormy industry with a higher turnover rate than Real Madrid managers. Getting hooked first on the fearless compulsion of Bowie, Reznor and Almond, then the frigid cool of Mills, Hawtin and D. James, then threading the needle consummately between these two worlds. These highwatermarks form the backbone of his pride, and in turn, fuel the self-perpetuating motion machine inside.
There’s always extra room in the cockpit, mind. An army of collaborators, remixers and remixees have provided vital thrust over the years. From Alter Ego and Azari & III through Duke Dumont and Depeche Mode; from Matthew Dear and Moby, through Zombie Nation and Zdar, Phillipe; Paranoid London, Pusha T, Pet Shop Boys and Peaches.…on and on it goes. Read between the lines and you’ll get a measure of the man. Teamwork affords stimulus, shuts down ego, and juices something he can’t get to alone. At heart, it brings out the best in Tiga.
It would be a lot easier to rest on his laurels by this point, really. To trade on former glories, reflect fondly on a career spent dovetailing in and out of the spotlight with likeminded friends, turning in a jaded, representation of himself at festivals and recording sessions when the taxman comes knocking. But Tiga is still too confident, self-respecting, and – how did you guess? – ambi-tious for that. The challenge he seeks is to keep experiencing the frisson of creative alchemy, to lock into a groove where he is truly in the zone, to dig deep and reproduce a fresh take on that first-love feeling of music: something that connects with young ravers and inspires the same spark he felt all those years ago. That’s the spur, the lifeblood, the DNA.
And that’s why Tiga remains an ever-present light in our little corner of the universe.

🔇ABOUT NOISE COMPLAINT🔇
Gone is the party where the music and the people at the party mattered more than making money. As Electronic Dance Music has exploded in popularity over the last several years, so have crowds and ticket prices along with it. In the beginning, events were held in underground, often intimate venues. It was about the music, and it was about each other.
Noise Complaint is taking it back to its roots, bringing the people quality, dance floor focused house and techno all while pushing that party-don't-stop vibe that everyone loves. We're bringing in huge talent - DJs and producers that are well known and respected but that we also personally vibe with. We're doing this at a small price, and in an intimate space. It's about the music for us, it's about the party and the vibe and the memories and friends you will make. Every Noise Complaint should be the best party you've been to since well, the last Noise Complaint.
We're more than just a party, we're a movement. Join us 2nd Fridays at Kremwerk and become part of the family.

About...
DJ BORING
In 2016, Tristan Hallis, better known as DJ Boring, sent shockwaves through the underground when his track “Winona” appeared on the iconic Slav Youtube channel. The track, comprised of simple, melodramatic chords, modulated acidic clangs, a syncopated, chilled out 909 groove, and a sampled Winona Ryder interview, not only changed the landscape of house music, but seemed to define dance music for a new generation.
In the sampled interview, Ryder earnestly says, “It is difficult to be judged, to be reviewed…I was in the middle of doing a reading and she stopped me and said, listen, you are not pretty enough to be an actress. You have to find something else that you want to do.” “Winona” captures not only the forelorn of the modern music producer, but the sentiment of a generation. In an era defined by insecurity and judgement, and in a scene where few seem to make an imprint, it seems there is no hope. Like Ryder, however, Hallis can now look back from his current success, and remember the times when people told him he couldn’t do it.
Hallis’ abilities are beyond simply being able to write clever melodies and stomping rhythms. His unique talent lies in knowing when to pull back, when to go all in, when to pause - an instinct that usually takes year of development, and that he further demonstrates with his prowess behind the decks. Since his debut on E-Beamz, he has released music on Lost Palms, Let’s Play House and his newly founded label, Vienna.

Noise Complaint ft. Botnek

BOTNEK
www.facebook.com/botnek
www.soundcloud.com/botnek
www.twitter.com/botnek
www.instagram.com/botnek
Gordon Huntley & Erick Muise joined forces as Botnek back in 2008 in Halifax, Nova Scotia through a shared love for house music. With a shortage of inspiration in the form of nightclubs and generally an unlikely scene for the quiet seaside Canadian town, Gordon & Erick bonded over Ableton tips, dance music blogs and late night radio shows on BBC Radio 1. Soon after forming a strong friendship through similar musical interests, the project was formed, and the guys landed a couple of key remix opportunities from this early buzz around the project from names including Crookers, AC Slater, Felix Cartal & Jack Beats.
Almost a decade later, in the summer of 2017, after years of touring, both Gordon & Erick realized they had almost subconsciously stopped creating the kind of music that had originally fueled the formation of Botnek in the first place, all those years ago in Halifax. It was time for the next chapter in their careers and they decided to take a leap. They released a song called "Don't Need U" on their own independent label imprint World Famous Headquarters. The track had the quirky house sound they bonded over when they first met and shared such a deep love for. From there, the duo has released a number of tracks in this musical vein, each one a deeper dive back into the diverse & ever-expanding world of house music.
The ever evolving, self-described "class clowns" Botnek has seen their career and sound range all over the map. They never lost their silliness and love for all things fun and carefree, however, and their return to their house roots make them a perfect fit for Noise Complaint. We can't wait to get silly and dance the night away with some Canadian faves of ours!

Noise Complaint ft. Moon Boots
Noise Complaint and the Kremwerk/Timbre Room Complex are proud to present, two rooms of thoughtfully curated music featuring:
🌗MOON BOOTS🌗
www.facebook.com/moonbootsmusic
www.instagram.com/moonbootsmusic
www.twitter.com/moonbootsmusic
www.soundcloud.com/moonbootsmusic
When Moon Boots hits the booth, he’s got one mission: to give you the best night of your life. Whether playing at iconic clubs like Chicago’s Smart Bar — where he cut his teeth watching legends like Frankie Knuckles and Derrick Carter — or the world’s biggest festival stages, he gives people a release they’ll remember long after the party’s over.
Born in Brooklyn, Moon Boots’ (birth name: Pete Dougherty) musical obsession started not long after he could walk. His early love of piano lead to a passion for keyboards and synthesizers. Teenage nights lost in the work of Daft Punk, A Tribe Called Quest and Herbie Hancock followed. Then came college years at Princeton University, where he shelved an Engineering degree to dive into the musical abyss.
Knowing what he was meant to do, he moved to the house music epicenter of Chicago, where he tirelessly passed out demos to local DJs and scoured the web for like-minded people with whom he could share and expand on his sound. He played in a synth-pop trio whose demo caught the attention of Lupe Fiasco, and after a stint touring alongside the hip-hop icon, Dougherty went back to DJing with a renewed focus.
The stars aligned when he had a chance encounter with Perseus, founder of an adventurous new label, French Express. A fellow junkie and fan of French House and R&B-infused dance music, Perseus became a friend and mentor, the Splinter to Boots' Donatello. The label eventually disbanded but Boots has stayed true to his mission of making dance tracks that can’t be confined to one style. Pete blends the music he loves — jazz, house, funk and soul — into songs that last longer than their run time. Songs not just for DJs, but for everyone.
We can't wait to welcome him into the basement for a night none of us will soon forget. Season 3 of Noise Complaint has already been a wild ride - let's keep up the momentum of everyone's favorite 'little' party.

When it comes to eclecticism, no other electronic musician can replicate the sheer ingenuity that American producer David Pezzner invokes within his mosaic compositions. Hailing from Seattle’s enlightened indie-music scene, the multifarious studio mogul has steadily supplied a series of notable releases since the early 90s. After initially fulfilling career ventures as one half of classic house outfit Jacob London, his sights have recently shifted towards a more independent musical outlet: his prolific solo project, Pezzner. Unhindered by the industry’s often-scrupulous guidelines, David’s artistic reinvention (under his newest production moniker) has amassed considerable acclaim in light of its obstinate diversity – exploring a kaleidoscopic assortment of styles and sounds.
Early in November, Pezzner proudly premiered his sophomore full-length artist album, ‘Last Night In Utopia’. Fittingly hosted via Marc Romboy’s legendary Systematic Recordings imprint, the 15-track assemblage readily exemplifies Pezzner’s ongoing stylistic expansions. Featuring an extensive inventory of electronic music genres, subgenres, and hybrid-genres, his latest auditory artwork shares but one underlying similarity: pristine quality. While some critics remain dispassionate towards the more exploratory ends of the musical spectrum, the eloquently crafted ‘Last Night In Utopia’ still merits an undeniable appreciation on behalf of its listeners.Continuing his trajectory into 2014, David follows suit with his strongest release to date on the decade strong, Crosstown Rebels. This time Pezzner teams up with Italian/Egyptian co-producer, Amina and B-side remix by Hotflush label boss Scuba.
Earlier works by Pezzner repeat this same pattern: Dance music for the brain as well as the body. His 2010, LP for Freerange Records ”The Tracks Are Alive” is a 13 track walkthrough of his electro/organic sounding style, in full dance-floor mode traversing with ease between disco, house and techno. Beatportal wax lyrical how it “blows like a cool breeze through the stale air of a market crowded with by-the-numbers deep house” and Resident Advisor note the “rising, sizzling dub effects” of his ‘Blacklist’ release, adding “a steeliness to his refined contours”. 5 Magazine coins Pezzner’s work as ”Future classics made for dance floors in the here and now”, while Ibiza Voice describes it as ”Lush and tense with a transcendental twist”.
Club shows abound not only in Europe, Pezzner’s live shows and DJ sets regularly move the dance floors of some of the most renowned venues including Space Ibiza, Rex Club in Paris, Womb Tokyo, Fabric London, Cielo New York, and Chicago’s famed Smartbar.

Family Night!
Hello hello hello!
I hope some people actually read this, cuz we got a lot to say! We have an extra beefed up FREE show this month, and we're excited to start broadening our horizons. This was supposed to be a weekly event, but I promise you, we're getting close! Until then, we gotta settle with what we got. That being said, this is a night that is actually giving us the jitters. We have fam from all over on this one. We have three wonderful, well versed (non-music) artists, who are all masters of their trade in some way or another, and Family Night is honored to host them. In addition, we have a very special, and relevant workshop, about harm reduction and crisis response, hosted by Momma Tea (9pm SHARP!). AND THE MUSIC! Holy mother of earth, we are excited! We have the beloved Board of Deacons (Riz Rollins, Almond Brown, Joey Webb, Devlin Jenkins) coming to rock a 2.5 hr set of absolute epicness, and Boaconstructor, the Gameboy Producer! Yes, he will be playing on his Gameboy.... Our support doesn't fall far behind these amazing artists. Dunjin from Onset, Kendoll in her last few weeks here, and old time friend DJ IDK. We will have open decks downstairs at 9pm per usual! First come first serve. Check below for information about everyone, and what our workshop will be! I hope to see you all at 9pm, so we can start making this community a safer place!
Workshop Name: Halp! :Harm Reduction and Crisis Response
Bio=Tea Lopez has been working in the drug policy reform/harm reduction community for a decade, and at events for 20 years. She is the founder of Starfl33t Harm Reduction, who provides physical, mental, and spiritual first-aid services at events.
Workshop description. Have you ever been at a festival or party with a friend or loved one who is having a hard time and not known how to help? You will learn fundamental techniques for dealing with this kind of situation including methodology introduced by the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies. Also discussed are basic harm reduction principles for events: self care, awareness, how to ask for help, and aftercare for intense experiences. Following Tea's presentation, we will have a questioning, answering, and sharing time.
Brion Kuebler
A life-long rock-hound, began studying lapidary five years ago as part of his pursuit toward gaining some understanding of life and existence. While the art of cutting and polishing gemstones is a broad church of knowledge, what fascinates him is the weaving together of the elements to bring beauty into the world. The meditative experience of taking something from the rough, endowing it with balance and symmetry, giving to it a proper form, and revealing the hidden patterns in each stone, is reflective of his own hope to develop a whole relationship with nature. Among his other interests are flowers, mushrooms, qigong, rope juggling, trippy music and occult science.
Habihats!
Lauren Olson, also known as TechnoPrincess, took her ten plus years of painting experience and combined it with her love of costumes and fasion to create Habihats. They are hand painted with miniature 3D objects in perspective, which creates an eye catching effect that surprises and amazes all ages. Habihats by TechnoPrincess resulted frorm a desire to entertain and embellish. Making people feel good is the goal. Making peope look good is a bonus. ❤
Ora Designs
Some people are just natural born designers, including Ora Designs' founding artist Calyn Kuefner, who has has a lifetime of astouding design intuition finessed through over 25 years of experience beginning with creating wedding headdresses in SLC and floral design. This blossomed her carreer as a freelance artist doing fiber art, complex face painting, photo styling, assemblage , upcycle art , teaching jewelry making, and a plethora of installations for large (or "a range of") events.
In 2016, Calyn incorporated her artistic ingenuity with her passion for crystals and animals, and began making Crystal kitty ear (and other animal) headbands, clips, and a variety of gorgeous
crystal based ensemblages to enrapture one's spirit with the animal and crystal energy of their choosing. Ora has expanded to include beatiful pendulum ear rings as well as divine chain
harnesses and cuffs. Stepping into the world adorned with Calyn's designs not only feels and looks amazing, but the interactions drawn are rapturous as well.

Noise Complaint Ft. Ardalan, Pezzner & Max Ulis
Noise Complaint and the Kremwerk/Timbre Room Complex are proud to present, two rooms of thoughtfully curated music featuring:
ARDALAN b2b PEZZNER b2b MAX ULIS
Early last fall we got an email from Seattle's own Dave Pezzner that went a little something like this:
"Basically this idea came about at the Eclipse Festival on the night of the Eclipse there was a gap in the program because Doc Martin was going to be late, so Max, Ardalan and I filled in b2b2b playing one record each...it ended up being crazy fun and we all worked really well together. So we decided, why not make a tour of it!"
So, here we are. A b2b2b, open-to-close event with a one record per DJ format that is sure to be as special as it is unique. This tour will be taking place over one weekend with the only stops being Seattle, Portland, and Vancouver as three of the West Coast's premier DJs rock the Kremwerk basement to the core.
🤠 ARDALAN🤠
https://www.facebook.com/ardalanmusicpage
https://soundcloud.com/ardalann
One is a not-so-secret weapon from the Dirtybird crew who possesses incredible range dealing out nasty, gritty bass at every turn. Big hitters such as A-Trak, Dog Blood, Claude VonStroke (duh) and countless others have been charting his mixes, remixes, dubs, and original tracks for the better part of a decade and Ardalan doesn't hold any punches.
PEZZNER
https://www.facebook.com/pezzner/
https://soundcloud.com/pezzner
A California native and now Seattle resident, Dave Pezzner has garnered much acclaim and following outside just his native West Coast roots cutting his chops by creating eccentric house and break beat rhythms like none other first as the duo Jacob London before going the solo route just as Pezzner. With tracks out on Viva Recordings, Dirtybird Records, and his own Hunt & Gather imprint just to name a few, Pezzner shows no signs of slowing down.
MAX ULIS
https://www.facebook.com/maxulismusic/
https://soundcloud.com/maxulis
Max Ulis, the Music Curator for esteemed Canadian festival Bass Coast is half of Sabota, and a charter member of Lighta! Sound, which has been instrumental in the building of Vancouver’s underground movement for the better part of a decade. He has performed at prestigious festivals such as Decibel, Mutek, and New Forms, is a regular on the west coast festival circuit. His music has been played by notable performers such as Tim Green, Skream, B Traits, Shadow Child, Grenier, &ME, and Breakage and he’s shared the stage with a who’s who of contemporary dance music.

🔇 ABOUT NOISE COMPLAINT 🔇

Shadows Afterdark
Our favorite holiday comes but once per year, so we always make the most of it. After escaping the haunted Neptune Theatre for Shadows - Halloween 2017, we're taking over Kremwerk & Timbre Room for a two room afterparty with some of our favorite West Coast artists. This is a 21+ event and alcohol will be served from 6-8am, no rest for the wicked.

Noise Complaint ft. BOT + Special Guest: Dateless
Noise Complaint and the Kremwerk/Timbre Room Complex are proud to present two rooms of thoughtfully curated music featuring:
🤖 BOT 🤖
www.facebook.com/BOT106
www.soundcloud.com/bot106
www.twitter.com/bot106
Bot is of the future. Half man, half-machine; fully Italian. Exiled in West London, locked in the studio since departing legendary duo Crookers, Bot (his creators named him Andrea Fratangelo) has disassembled any expectations and rebuilt his sound.
Since forging his new solo path, Bot has prepared release upon release on just about every label imaginable including Relief, This Ain't Bristol, Perfect Driver, Night Bass, and his own label (with pal Astronomar) Main Course. One thing is for certain; there are no plans to slow down!
Futuristic techno and unorthodox club rhythms are welded with hip hop influences, and a nod to the sounds and sprit of classic house. What we have here folks, is the new tomorrow. Combined with the party don't stop attitude of everyone that sets foot in a Noise Complaint party, and we have ourselves the makings of quite the evening.
But wait....there's more!

Noise Complaint 1st Birthday Party ft. J.Phlip
We can't believe it's already been a year since we started this little party, but what a year it has been! It's time to celebrate Noise Complaint's 1st Birthday the only way we know how - and that's turning it ALLLL THE WAY UP.
Noise Complaint and the Kremwerk/Timbre Room Complex are proud to present, two rooms of thoughtfully curated music featuring:
🐣 J.PHLIP 🐣
⏰3 Hour Extended Set⏰
https://www.facebook.com/jphlip
https://instagram.com/j_phlip
https://soundcloud.com/jphlip
https://twitter.com/jphlip
Jessica Phillippe is diehard, born with true grit and skills to pay the bills. A long time favorite of ours, we've had her in our sights since day one and we couldn't be more excited to bring her back to Seattle for an intimate show to celebrate Noise Complaint's 1st Birthday.
Since joining Dirtybird (aka everyone's favorite label) back in 2008, J.Phlip has become a "small-yet-powerful rose amongst a bunch of big burly thorns" all while having us wonder just how much fun can one group of DJ/producers have.
Despite her success with the Dirtybird gang, she's still out there in record stores on the regular... digging, uncovering precious gems and weaving them into her dynamic sets with panache. She's a hard-working, dedicated lady who refuses to compromise and aims to rock the dancefloor without relying on the most obvious tracks.
J.Phlip's infectious sense of fun and mind-boggling depth of music knowledge make her one of the most revered DJs on the global circuit today and paired with the Vibe Fest that is a Noise Complaint party, you can bet your bottom dollar this is one function we'll be shakin our tail feathers at from open to close.

Welcome to the HAUS of the GLOW GODDESS. Here, we worship with radical rituals under the sacred Blacklight, and show our reverence by being our brightest souls especially when it's dark. There's no dogma here, only celebration, music and dance.

Noise Complaint and the Kremwerk / Timbre Room Complex are proud to present, two rooms of thoughtfully curated music featuring:
SHARAM JEY
https://www.facebook.com/SharamJey/
https://soundcloud.com/sharamjey
What even needs to be said about Sharam Jey? The dude has been a stable in the dance music community since many of his fans were in diapers. Sharam Jey is one of those DJ/producers who continue to burn the light bright and keep striving to push sound forward, onward and upward and find a way to take it and relate it to the masses' and taking it to the masses is one thing Sharam Jey does best.
What started with two studio albums in the 90s turned to over 100 releases on some of the most established and respected labels in the game to remixes for some of dance music's greatest names such as Moby, Gossip, Faith No More, Faithless, Diplo & Don Diablo, Mason & Roisin Murphy to name just a few.
His latest record label 'Bunny Tiger' which made it to the Beatport label top 10 within a year in 2013, instantly spread five no.1s and twenty top ten tracks on the Beatport Nudisco chart. The idea of Sharam Jey gracing us with his relentless DJ skills and deep deep catalog of tunes makes us beyond excited in ALLLLL the right places. All that combined with the party-don't-stop-till-they-kick-us-out vibe that has become a staple at Noise Complaint and you have the makings for an incredible evening.

QBoy (UK)
Starting out in the early 2000s as the editor of global revolutionary online magazine gayhiphop.com, Basildon-born Essex boy Marcos Brito was soon making history as the first openly gay hip-hop artist in the UK. He pushed for diversity and inclusion within the British LGBT club scene and got it, opening up the door for many of your favorite out queer hip hop artists in what was a largely hetero normative scene. He also created the first dedicated queer hip-hop events in Europe, and has been a trailblazing force of change in the nightlife scene, currently at the helm of London’s most hotly attended queer parties ‘R & She’, which he also throws in Berlin quarterly. From the playful reflection of Grindr culture and bulge appreciation in ‘Show Me Your Deck’ to the darker-side of hook-up apps in ‘Set It Up’, QBoy proves that he can bring his famous Latin fire to even the darkest of subject matter. His reboot of M’s 1979 pop classic, ‘Pop Muzik’, took prime position on Tom Robinson’s Saturday night playlist on BBC 6 Music. With his newly released EP, "QING", the world of queer hip-hop is anxious to welcome back the quick-wit and resounding vivacity of the trailblazing QBoy.
