A bit of background on our guest:

Nancy Dru crafts danceable sets with some less predictable twists and turns. Syncopated beats, acid treats - sounds that appeal to the brain as well as the body.

Having shared the stage with the likes of Steffi, Voices From the Lake, Headless Horseman, Shed, Dasha Rush, Rødhåd, Erika, Kangding Ray, Andy Stott, Annie Hall, Matrixxman and many more, as well as playing celebrated sets at Basscoast, Gays Hate Techno, Mutek, Sunwave, and Communikey, she has gained a laudable reputation as not only an artist with an elevated approach to music, but also as a techno advocate with an esoteric, tenacious language, propelling the global dance community forward into its unknown, tremendous future.

All the way from the city of angels we have Subreal empresarios Amazondotcom and Siet Catorce playing an otherworldly live set. Amazondotcom and Siete Catorce make music that is almost beyond explanation, they pervert the sounds of the everyday into kaleidoscopic driving bass music that commands its listeners to submit. July we welcome Romanian artist Miss I whose love of music is emphasized by her years of running the Misbits record store in Bucharest. As one of the city’s most loved vinyl digging grounds, Misbits is an icon for vinyl fans. Miss I’s own appreciation for clever and creative sounds on wax guarantees an intriguing curation at both the shop and in her DJ sets.

Miss I has played Romania’s favored spaces including Sunwaves and Club Guesthouse. As a Romanian DJ with an emphasis on vinyl culture, she has created a committed following within the Romanian scene and her current tour across the Atlantic marks an important step into the global community. We couldn’t be more happy that Seattle is included in the mix and look forward to welcoming her to her West Coast premiere.

We’ve asked fellow record store owner and vinyl culture aficionado Sherman C of Selector Records to join as local support. And MMH resident / Rhizome Records’ Kinjo will lend his dynamic sound to the night. See you on the dancefloor!
